Intermittent distortion problems with a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Fx sound card on Windows 11

To All,I recently started having intermittent distortion problems with a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Fx 5.1 PCLE sound card on Windows 11 24H2 Build 26100.3476 when playing music CD's and also general system sounds. The sound will be good for several minutes and then it will be bad for several minutes and then the cycle repeats. The sound card is 9 years old and was moved from an old Windows 10 desktop to a new Windows 11 desktop about 6 months ago and worked fine up until about a week agn the hardware end, I removed and inspected the sound card and saw no obvious damage.
