Intel memory encryption

My Dell Latitude 5440 has a 13rh gen Intel CPU. The machine has gained some functionality with UEFI updates.I noticed in the UEFI a feature call Intel memory encryption. I immediately recognize this is a way to stop malicious software from getting a foothold.I even believe ransomware will be impacted as it cannot get out of the security enclave.
