Installer will not allow me uninstall media player.

I am trying to uninstall Windows Media Player as per a third party request.

I go to Control Panel/Turn Windows Features on or off

I uncheck the box by Media Player then OK

Following all directions to reboot.

After reboot the computer goes through the process of updating. At the end it says it did not update and is reversing all changes. 

I have run the Microsoft "Fix It" for Installer it says it finds a problem and fixes it. I actually does not fix it.


Any suggestions?
