Installed old hard drives into new computer

I installed old hard drives from my previous computer into my new one. I have gone through and formatted all of my old hard drives but now it give me the USB icon. Which now gives me the option to eject my hard drives. When doing so it removed it from my disk management section and I can no longer use it. How I did my formatting was going through windows terminal selecting the old disk and "delete part override" and then did a "new simple volume". I restarted my computer and my secondary hard drives still give me the ability to "eject device". Any help is appreciated
