installed apps says its using 165gb even tho the highest app in there is 2gb

I've been experiencing this problem for a while now and I'm finally reaching out. so, I don't have that many apps that are that big only two of them are 2gb and it wouldn't add up to 165gb. I've tried the cleanup recommendations the fixing low disk space thing deleting things I don't use I even got an external hard drive to put a bunch of things on that I use that take a bit of space but all of that only frees up a little bit of space what do i do?
