Incorrect PIN

My surface pro laptop has the following message on the sign in page "you've entered an incorrect PIN several times. To try again, enter A1B2C3 below" when I do this it asks for the PIN and then says it is incorrect. This is a continuousnous loop.with apparently no other way to sign in. What can I do?.
