Inaccessible boot device after I let my friend update my drivers

I don’t know much about computers, but my buddy told me he’d update my drivers for me since I’ve never done that. So I let him and after the restart my laptop keeps going to a blue screen and says inaccessible boot device. We tried the automatic repair and doing a system repair, but both failed and if I try to turn it on it just keeps going to the blue screen with that message and then keeps taking me to a screen with all the options like system restore and command prompt. Should I take it somewhere to get it fixed or can I fix it myself?
