In word or excel, going to file directory, the right click displays a small tube with" -". not the menu.

When I open an Excel or a word and I press save as, then it opens a directory where i want to save. Now suppose I want to delete some file in the open directory or add a new folder to save this, I right click in the box. In normal circumstances, it used to display a menu. But from last 15 days it displays a long narrow tube with "-" instead of the menu. If I do the same in the normal directory (not through Excel or Word -2013), the display is shown correctly. If I memorize it, and click on the correct "-" it works. Only issue is display.
