In Windows 11 with OneDrive backing up, how can I have unique desktops on each device

When I search for help on this I mostly find info on using multiple monitors. That's not what I'm trying to do.I have multiple computers, and one of them is a Surface Pro I use like a tablet. It has a very different job and I don't want it to have all the same desktop folders and shortcuts that are on my other device.So, how to keep OneDrive active on both devices but not sync their desktops? (I'd like to be able access each desktop's files from the other though)Is this possible?
