Is there are any development history of the modern Windows Memory Diagnostic tool from Windows Vista to Windows 10? How are they completely different from each other aside from the user experience and the looks?


They say that the Windows XP Memory Diagnostic Tool can only diagnose only the first 4 GB of RAM on your system. So if the system has more than 4 GB then the other part of that memory that makes it more the 4 GB won't be diagnosed. Does this 4 GB limit also exist on today's Windows Memory Diagnostic tool since Windows Vista?

The Modern Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool from Windows Vista until now on Windows 10. The font and margin changes when the display of any computer (most especially netbooks and notebooks) doesn't support the 1024x768 resolution.


The Legacy Windows Memory Diagnostic tool designed for devices with Windows XP but not included/bundled on any Windows XP installation as some sources online have said.


Also take note that these are OS independent. This means that they can run without Windows even running. But they still need a boot manager.
