im trying to enable 5ghz on my computer

ive checked multiple sites and watched multiple videos and they all say that i need to go to prefered band on the advanced setting of it yet i dont have a prefered band option and i do support 5ghz due to my drivers having 802.11nplease help because i belive this makes my computers wifi slower -Thanks in advance!
