im getting BSOD with elden ring

[Windows 11]

Whenever I try to open Elden Ring, when I reach the menu to select a new game, continue, etc., my computer stops, and the BSOD appears with the code bad pool caller or kernel mode heap corruption. This doesn't happen with any other game. I've tried: marvel rivals, Apex Legends, valorant, Red Dead Redemption 2, hitman WOA, Stardew Valley, the Batman Arkham series, and The Witcher 3. It only happens with Elden ring. everything seems to be up to date on my computer, and I've run some scans with the command prompt for my disks and file system and everything is okay. it just happens with Elden Ring
