I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 with users that RDP in to run Quickbooks desktop software. In quickbooks, they use internet explorer embedded to open an XML file from the local file system with a stylesheet defined. On the server, internet explorer always wants to download the XML file and not view the XML using the stylesheet.
Even if I open IE 11 on the server, and try to open the XML file outside quickbooks, it always wants to download and not show the xml file in IE 11.
I have enhanced security turned off for admin and users.
I have tried many different settings for setting this as trusted or intranet without success.
How do get IE 11 to present the XML using the stylesheet?
This is start of the XML file that IE is to open from the local file system:
