Am facing also the same problem. I have use the Windows default classic

theme. But if I restart the PC, the issue resolved. But again after 2-3 days

the issue comes.

Any one can resolve the same.

Also today I have changed the Window XP theme and then revert to my default

Windows Classic theme the issue seems to be resolved. Lets watch for further

days.

Any one can resolve the same.

Uninstalling Yahoo Messenger seems to have solved the IE8 black menu bar

problem for me. Prior to that uninstall, the menu bar was black upon reboot

about 75% of the time. The display theme has always been set to "Windows

Classic." There have been eight reboots since Yahoo Messenger was

uninstalled with no more black menu bars.

It cause last update of Adobe Reader 9 (Apr 19), after restarting Windows,

black menu bar appear. I have changed it in Properties colour, have no idea

if the problem will return but I know at least the source of the problem.

Duvdevan,

I really don't have a clue as to how these "newsgroups" work, but

evidently they don't show previous postings (?) in what would normally

be a "forum", so I'm assuming you didn't see the posts by myself and

Raymond (aka Craigmill).

Use this link and it will take you to page 3 (the last page) of the

"forum".

http://tinyurl.com/y4tbmtv

The procedure is as follows:

Click start, control panel, administrative tools, services. That

brings up the "Services" list. Scroll down to "themes",

single click it. Click the "stop" option, double click "themes" which

opens the properties window. Change "automatic" to "manual".

This is a permanent work-around originally described by ikke1 and so

far there have excellant results from everyone who has used it. Please

see my post on page 2 of this forum for the particulars. Also please

spread the word around and give the credit to ikke1.
