IE 11 connects to the internet, but Edge will not connect

I upgraded my Dell Inspiron from Windows 7 Home to Windows 10. Internet Explorer 11 connects to the internet without any issues, however, when I attempt to use Edge to simply go to any website (like www.google.com), I receive: Hmm, we can't reach this page. It doesn't matter which url I attempt to enter, it works in IE 11 but not Edge.
