I'd like to be able to cut and paste folders from a memory card to my PC....sounds simple enough. Not anymore!!!

I used to be able to cut a file/folder from a memory card and transfer/paste it to a folder on my PC. Now, Windows doesn't appear to offer the option of cutting AND if I copy everything and paste (as a MUCH less desirable option), Windows doesn't even offer an option to delete the folder anymore!!!! This fills up my memory cards with redundant pictures in a hurry!!!!! How do I circumvent this obvious error on Microsoft's part? I know there's no use in trying to get them to fix it or change it back to the way it was a few months ago. Software companies like to break things that are working
