iCloud for Windows completely wiped my desktop folder

Hello!Today I have installed iCloud for Windows 11.While trying to synchronize photos, I may have selected by mistake the desktop folder in the Shared Albums (Album condivisi) section.After applying the changes, I completely lost all my desktop files and I cannot retrieve them.I also used Recuva but it seems that it can't even find the "old" desktop folder. In fact, after scanning my C disk, no deleted file was found in the Desktop folder.Does somebody know how to restore the desktop as it was previously?
