I was logged out of my microsoft account(?) and there's no way to sign back in

I was just using this computer the other day with no problems. When I went to use my HP laptop today, I noticed my lock screen was reverted to a default one, but it still asked for my pin number to sign in. After I did, I got a message saying something along the lines of it not being able to sign into my account, and to try signing out and signing out again. I clicked the sign out button it offered, but it doesn't seem like it did anything? Now I have no access to my files or anything that was on the computer previously, and trying to view the "accounts" page in the setting only shows a blank
