I want to download Zoom software and Google Chrome, and Windows keeps blocking it.

I want to download Zoom software and Google Chrome, and MS keeps blocking it - I have the option to change app settings (I tried - it didn't help) or get something from the MS app store - you don't have Zoom or Chrome. This is frustrating in the extreme. I don't want to jump through hoops to do what I want to on my own laptop.
