I want to decrease the gray area in the Explorer 'Save As' window so I can see Explorer files.

When clicking on the 'Save As' option from the drop down menu in LibreOffice, Explorer window opens and a third or more of the window is grayed out empty space except for options to select "Automatic file name extension"; "Save with password"; "Sign with default certificate" or "Edit filter settings". Attempts to reduce the size using Ctrl and dragging the resize arrow down, haven't worked. With such a small view area, it takes forever to locate the desired folder; the problem exists in other apps as well.
