I think i got a virus!

I downloaded a editing software but for free ( yes ik this is silly) somehow i got a virus my pc now takes a very long time to start up and my screen is black wtih a cursor everytime i try to open it. i was able to check cmd prompt and all my files are deleted so i think its a virus what do i do. Also windows wont let me unistall or reinstall anything and troubleshoot doesnt work!
