i saved a document on powerpoint on autosave as 'CW1 dissertation poster' and now i cant find it/Auto recover feature in PowerPoint is not available

Auto recovery feature in powerpoint is not available/ when saving a document I thought it will saved directly /when i exited off the file earlier i had no warning telling me to save it.
