After my computer black screens i always checked the event viewers window logs under system and always got the same error and critical events such as event 41: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. also event 1001: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.
