I need to Transfer minecraft from my ipad to my PC but it still makes me buy it.

I have Minecraft pocket edition on my iPad (6th gen) and I would like to transfer it to my pc as it has a habit of crashing. my friends tell me that i don't need to buy another copy but instead just log in and play but every time I attempt to do that it makes me pay for the game. (I'm attempting to get Bedrock Edition and my PC is Windows11)
