i need help my ssd is not showing up in the file manager

Previouslyim was looking forward to update my old computers operating system it was loaded with windows 10 idk why. but because of old hardware it was slow so i wanted to install a lighter OS but i could be able to install because the ssd was unable to format i think it is because it got into some protection or restriction help meERRORWrite Sector Error!
