I have windows xp home edition-version 2002-service pack 2. Message ox80240036 when I try to install

I did this about a year ago and everything worked fine. I tried the" fix it" and "ask microsoft" and a long address that ends in "x86-enu.exe" but that was "not available". Again, when I try to connect to "downloads" I get the message http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowserror0x80240036update/.
