i have old icons/folders still in my startup menu that arent on my computer anymore.how do i get rid of them?

so i have a few programs i recently deleted/uninstalled but the file icons are still in my startup menu and when i click they say they dont exist obviously.so how do i get rid of left over file icons on that menu? thanks so much.super annoying
