I have an old windows 7 home premium laptop will not boot

I get a black screen with message hit esc key to boot but it just recycles this message.

The Bios f10 key works but the F11 recovery key does not.

memory and hard drive passed tests.

The only thing I can think to try is a windows 7 install disk but I dont have one.


any suggestions other than tossing the laptop out?
