I have an issue with an old email address being used to try and access a Microsoft account that I have no recollection of setting up. Can I stop this?

I have started to get emails to old email account with OTP codes in for a microsoft account. This is not anything I have done but obviously my old email has been hacked and they are trying to access a microsoft account or set up a microsoft account. Ideally I would like to shut down the microsoft account as it is not mine and if it is it is so old I don't need it anymore. How can I do this? Can't find how to get support with this from microsoft.
