I recently replaced a HD on a HP Pavilion p7-1226s Desktop PC that was running Win 7. I installed Win 10 on the new HD and now I can't get the sound to work . I tried to update the driver in device manager Realtek HD Audio as well as switching to the generic driver.
The HP website states the following:
HP does not provide Windows 10 drivers on HP.com for HP computers sold prior to August 2013. Microsoft has made most of the component drivers for these products available via Device Manager once the product is running Windows 10 with an active Internet connection. To see if your HP computer was tested to work in Windows 10, go to HP Products Tested with Windows 10. (mine is not on the list)
Does anyone know of a comparable driver that I can use for Win 10 OS?
