I have an Epson printer which is constantly going offline. Windows 10 new computer

I am using a new Lenovo Windows 10 desktop computer and recently bought an Epson XP220 which keeps going offline. The router is in the same room, so distance is not an issue. The printer was initially connected via WiFi, but now just for reliability I have had to connect via USB. The problem is others in the house who want to print via WiFi cant because it keeps saying printer not connected or offline.......... Can anyone help, my daughter is about to start an Open colleges course and needs a reliable printer, she cannot connect via USB because she has an apple laptop with no USB port.
