I don't know how to react. Is this a hoax? I keep getting popups saying my new computer has 3-5 critical viruses.

I keep getting popups saying my new computer has 3-5 critical viruses. Some popups say my computer has 3 viruses. Other popups say there are 5. One popup reads: "Turn on virus defender now. Critical alert. Click here to remove." Another reads: "Windows defender can't scan the specified threats. Please install anti-virus and remove them. Critical Alert! Click here to remove! via Microsoft Edge" There are another 3 popups with the same warning but slightly different wording. (I used the Snipping tool to download a picture of each warning.)I just purchased this HP Windows 11 computer in late Octo
