I changed my Microsoft account email address years ago... OneDrive restore no longer works.

I changed my Microsoft account email address a few years ago. The original was JohnB....@xxxx the new one is JohnD....@xxxx. Last week when I backed up on Onedrive and restored to a new PC none of the files from JohnB restored under C:/Users/JohnD. the new Windows 11 restored nicely and was without errors, but the restore is useless without my files and installed programs. Suggestions?
