I can't turn on Windows Defender because it thinks I have another AV installed

Before upgrading to Windows 10, I was using Windows 8 with Trend Micro Internet Security installed. I did not uninstall it before upgrading and after the upgrade, I realized that it migrated and I couldn't use it. I also couldn't use Windows Defender as it detects existing antivirus software and disables itself when it does. I still cannot find the old trend micro antivirus and cannot remember if I have deleted it or not. It's been awhile since the upgrade.


Please help. I'm close to resetting my computer to a clean installation of Windows 10 but that takes too much time, which I don't have.
