I can't Log Into My Laptop, Getting Error Code 0xd0000225

I have had no issues to date with my laptop, which I purchased last year. I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad x1, and Windows 10 operating system. Starting this morning I got the error message stating “Something went wrong and your PIN isn’t available (code: 0xd0000225). Click to set up your PIN again.”. When I click on the "Set up my PIN" option nothing meaningful happens and I can't go any further. I have restarted my computer multiple times, which hasn't helped. I have used another computer to go to community chats like this which give instructions that have not helped either. I have no other way
