I can’t connect to my WiFi on Windows 10 - WiFi adapter option not showing

I am on Windows 10 and have recently just moved houses. I brought my PC with me and attempted to connect to the internet but when I tried to click “show available networks” nothing showed up. I had previously had AT&T and used some sort of Ethernet cable adapter thing but now I have xfinity internet. When I looked at the adapter options only Ethernet cables show up and there is not option for WiFi. Can someone please help me I need this PC for my schoolwork.
