I cannot view any images in windows 10. I can see the thumbnails, but when I click on them, I just get a flash on the screen and they disappear.

I am running windows 10 home with all the updates, motherboard is a TUF Gaming X570-Plus (WI-FI), with a AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Graphics Card. I have done check disk and scan disk to no avail. I have also tried using windows repair no luck. If it is a corrupt file, then how do I or can I just replace it? I also cannot use the search bar in the lower left corner. I just get a big gray box with a magnifying glass in it.
