I cannot use my phone's hotspot to give my laptop an internet connection.

I don't have expertise with computers, so I can only do so much in describing this.But essentially, when I use my Samsung smartphone's hotspot function, it immediately disconnects.I turn the Hotspot function on, then I search all the available networks to find the android's hotspot connection, as one normally does. I click on the Android wifi network, - again, as normal, and type in the password. It connects as it should. Then moments later, it disconnects.I have used my phone as a hotspot for other laptops, so it is not the phone. It is definitely my computer. It should be a straightforward p
