I cannot update my single language license with multi language license key

Hello, I bought a ROG Ally X from China. Since it does not have multi display language option, I couldnt change it. Therefor I bought a new key from Microsoft with multiple language option. When I try to update my license in the settings (System -> Activation -> Change product key), it does not register and gives (0xc004f050) error. What can I do about it? It feels like Chinese keyboard settings are not understanding the key.
