I cannot assessing to https:// web sites on Internet explorer 7

A month and half ago I cannot see https:// web pages (Sites to pay) or check
my hotmail on Internet Explorer 7, just I can see http: web sites on it. I
have problem assessing to Windows MSN Messenger as well.

I can see both: http:// and https:// sites on Mozilla Fire Fox. I had
difficulties removing with add/remove programs to uninstall Internet Explorer
7 and Windows MSN Messenger, finally I achieved to reinstall Internet
Explorer 7, but I have not been able to reinstall Windows MSN Messenger, I
receive a message as: “Error with windows live suite was not installed system
error details code: 0x80096001. Description: A system-level error occurred
while verifying trust.†I made sure on Internet Properties- advance on
security section that (use SSL 2.0, use SSL 3.0 and use TLS 1.0 were checked
on the box.
I scanned with Trend Micro Pc cillin IS 2006 and I received two
vulnerabilities:
1* Potential Incident: VBS_DAVINIA.A. Bulleting: MS00-034. I ran office
update with out problem and the Potential Incident disappears.
2* Potential Incident: W97M_GOGA.A. Bulleting: MS01-028. I ran office update
but I cannot to update it. I receive a message: We’re sorry, but we were
unable to service your request. You may wish to choose from the links below
for information about Microsoft products and services. Or the page may no
longer exist.
I tried a lot of links, sites etc, but nothing of these seems to work.

I have windows XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 2 Intel Pentium III
processor
980 MHz 256 MB of RAM. Office 2000

Can anybody help me before format the computer or I do not know
what to do?

[Crossposted to IE General newsgroup]

1. Judging from the (incomplete?) HijackThis log, you have a "horked"
install of IE7.

2. Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827315

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7,
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for review
by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
