I can no longer open .exe files without either my browser or file explorer crashing. Also Windows Update is broken alongside the Microsoft Store.

Opening .exe files from my browser Downloads will close the browser immediately. Doing the same in the File Explorer will close that as well, leaving me with a black-flickering screen for a few seconds. I've tried a multitude of .exe files and none of them will open - they save just fine but my computer refuses to open them.When trying to update my PC from the System Update area in Settings, it shows constantly as "Something went wrong".Furthermore, trying to download apps from the Microsoft Store will cause it to crash as well. Very annoying and confusing, it all worked not long ago.I perform
