I am getting "print preview failed" and cannot change the printer.

I am on windows 11 trying to "print" from a chromium browser (I have not tested others but given the nature of the problem it seems unlikely to work, I did check word but it no longer uses the native dialogue and correctly changed to print to pdf), but when I try to print it I get and error message saying "print preview failed". I know full well why this is, it cannot connect to the printer, because I am in a different location from that printer, and I cannot and do not need to connect to it right now.The problem is that I can't change the printer to a different one while the error message is
