I am building a pc, and bought windows 11 pro but didnt look at the product key, I lost that OS and lost the Key

When building my computer, i got everything working and bought an official copy of windows 11 Pro, but due to some issues that are taken care of, i cannot get the windows key back, and is lost on that OS drive (i had it for only a couple of hours before it formatted itself due to previously mentioned problems. Is there a way i can get that key back or refund the transaction to get a new one because i still have the old pc and am giving it to a family member so i dont want to use that key.
