I accidentally changed my display registry settings, I changed the data value in featuretestcontrol via regedit but i don't remember the former value

I accidentally changed it while i was googling why my laptop screen was dimmer than usual and i came across a thread where a microsoft advisor had advised someone else to go to regedit and do the same so i tried but i haven't restarted my laptop yet so how do i undo it? I changed it to'ffff' from a value which i think was 1202 or something like that, pls help. will it harm the system or is it okay if i restart it?
