Hyperx Microphone tap-to-mute malfunctioning since upgrade to Windows 24h2

I was forced by Windows update on 15/2/25 to upgrade my Windows 11 Home 23h2 desktop pc to 24h2. Since then my Hyperx duocast microphone has been unmuting itself and its tap-to-mute sensor on top of the product has been malfunctioning. I have got it to partly work however it still does unmute by itself and if I leave it a while, I am unable to unmute, I have to access the settings in order for it to come on.
