Hundreds of photos lost! Help, please!

I can't find hundreds of photos that I "named" numerically 1 - 353, etc. I search everywhere but all sorts of things pop up that happen to have those numbers in them. This is making me crazy as I've spent tons of time collecting these images and I have hundreds more to go. Gallery, I think, has some, if not all, of them but they don't tell me what the name of the photo is so I'm not sure. All I want to do is find the missing photos and move them to a dedicated folder. I hate Gallery as it is (or seems to be) a default app and unless I remember to change from Gallery to the folder my pictur
