HP Pavilion Laptop 15 randomly chokes up whenever charging and not full battery

Whenever I am actively charging my laptop, and it is not yet at a full charge, it randomly freezes for a few seconds, before regaining regular function. I don't have this problem whenever it is operating only on battery, and the problem also does not happen whenever the laptop is fully charged and plugged in.Any idea how this can be fixed?
