Hp mpp 2.0 rechargeable stylus pen doesn't work

I bought a hp mpp 2.0 rechargeable stylus pen. I have a hp pavilion convertible 14 laptop at the moment. The stylus used to work a year back, now it just stopped working. I tried various solutions like trying the stylus on another compatible laptop, but it doesn't seem to work. I think it is due to like a windows problem rather than pen itself.
