how to transfer windows license from one windows account to another windows account.

my son built a new pc. I have an old pc that has a retail version of windows 10 digital license. I want to trash that old pc and transfer the license to my sons pc. So can I sign into the new pc with my windows account and transfer the digital license from the old hardware to the new hardware? And once I have done that; I can then remove the license from my windows account and sign back into the new pc with a local account and then have my son sign into the new pc with his windows account to transfer the license from the new hardware to his account? Basically we want to split accounts...we
