I replaced HDD & re-installed OS (WINDOWS 7, SP1, 64 bit) from an "old" System Image file . File encryption was done after the image was created. I did not save the Encryption Certificate . I'm trying to "Take Ownership" of the files, but get a message "must provide Administrative Permissions" - it's denied.

I checked "properties, security, ownership & effective permissions" - they all show my "Administrative" acct.

Tried to login under "Administrator" - not available(?)

Checked my acct name listed as administrator & it's USER ACCOUNT Type details shows "Standard", will not allow me to change it - when I click on "Administer", the "Change Acct Type" grays out on me.....?

I actually have training on how to do this, but this is not on a network, it's a standalone Windows 7 box

Help !
